The Residence
Hope’s Place is a faith based sober living residence for women located in Dickinson, TX off Highway 3. The exact location is not posted as it is not open to the public (approved residents only). The residence is a fully furnished (1) bedroom, (1) bath unit and accommodates anywhere from (2) to (4) women at any given time. The goal of this residence is to provide a community living space for women who are ready to take the next step by transitioning into a more self-disciplined recovery structure. Hope’s Place provides an affordable living solution along with the support of other women who are at the same point in their recovery.
With this self-disciplined recovery structure, there are no requirements placed on residents to show proof of meeting attendance, however the residents are encouraged to attend meetings and church and may be invited to attend faith based meetings by the house manager that lives off site (attendance is optional). The residents ARE REQUIRED to attend daily Christian devotional, to be led/hosted by residents in the house on a rotating basis. There is not a designated house manager in the residence, each resident will be assigned the duties they will have while residing at Hope’s Place to do their part in keeping up with the house by the off-site house manager. The residents are required to abide by the rules of the house for the benefit and overall well being of all the women in the house and report any issues to the house manager. The house manager is not involved in the day to day schedule of the residents except to handle intake, move outs, address violations of the house rules, etc. The residents work together and take responsibility upon themselves while at Hope’s Place to create a supportive environment to help one another achieve their goals and hold each other accountable. Occasional house meetings with the house manager present are held if issues arise when it is necessary.
