GOD’S DIRECTION: One of our prayer team members had TWO crazy snake encounters within a week and a half of each other. This person had not seen a snake in person in years. The first encounter was while out at a lake. There was a water moccasin (cottonmouth) within very close proximity and it was a miracle it didn’t strike (it was also very large). The next encounter involved the neighbor who came hollering to come help at her house where there was a coral snake on her back porch! These snakes are not seen commonly in the area either! Now what are the odds of rarely seeing snakes in person and then in a very short amount of time seeing two and BOTH of them were extremely dangerous snakes? During our prayer meet we discussed if there might be some spiritual meaning to this as the prayer team member had an idea of what she thought God might be saying. Everyone agreed that was probably the correct discernment, but then in prayer this was prayed, “God, if this is really you saying this (the specific thing we discerned it meant), I am asking you to show me ONE more confirmation. And protect me in it (because the other snakes seen so far had been dangerous).” By 10:30am the next morning that prayer team member came across a grass snake at her office (which also was not common)!
