Do we, as humans, have supernatural ability? The short answer is, yes. The long answer is much deeper. Does the supernatural fascinate you? Then keep reading, because it is about to get interesting…

The paranormal. Miracles. Angels. Demons. Spiritual Powers. All of these are extremely hot topics, and there is a reason for that. We are spirit beings, so it is normal to be drawn to the paranormal. Look at all the movies out now, especially those reflecting witchcraft, demons, and the like. These genres are mysterious and compelling to people and draw them in almost like an addiction.

Now let’s throw Christianity out there. Do people have the same fascination? Does power, mystery, and the supernatural come to mind when we hear the word Christian? I would bet for most the answer is no. Hmm…just hold on to your cute little kitten socks and keep reading.

Now what about a witch? Many people are being drawn into witchcraft and other spiritual practices because of the supernatural elements attached to them. Are they real? YES. Do they have real power? YES. Is there such a thing as a Christian witch? NO.

Time for some eyes wide open…

Christians are the most powerful creatures on earth when it comes to the supernatural and the spirit realm. They are more powerful than demons, they are more powerful than witches (or any other spiritual practitioner), and God’s angels assist them in the earth realm.

Is that a bold statement? It’s fact.

  1. God is the most powerful, the Creator of all.
  2. He has all power over Satan and Demons, and he has given this power to Christians, therefore Christians are more powerful than them.
    • And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:18-19 (Jesus speaking of how weak Satan is and how God cast him out of heaven, and giving Christians power over him.)
    • And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17 (Jesus speaking of Christians.)
    • Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” Luke 10:17
    • Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4(The bible is saying the Holy Spirit that lives in Christians is MORE powerful than Satan’s power.)
  3. Witches and other spiritual practitioners outside the Christian faith are not accessing God’s power, they are accessing satanic power of which Christians (using God’s power) supersede. Let there be no question that these other practices have any place in Christianity:
    • And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. 2 Kings 21:6 (Clearly states these things are wicked in the sight of the God and you cannot mix them with Christianity.)
    • There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Deuteronomy 18:10-12(Again, these things clearly have no part in Christianity.)
  4. Lastly, to address angels…
    • Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14 (Heirs of salvation are Christians.)

Now that doesn’t mean that all Christians understand this or know how to actually operate in the power of God in the spiritual realm, and that is why this not common knowledge. Many outside the faith have not met a Christian who lives like this. Possessing such power and operating in it are two different things.

Understanding the spirit realm is imperative when digging for these truths, but first it is important to state that many people practicing witchcraft, or voodoo (or the like) are not bad people. Shockingly, many think these practices are okay and do them while also calling themselves Christians not realizing that those other practices have absolutely no place in Christianity. They may not be trying to cast harmful spells, etc. and thus not realize that what they are opening themselves up to is dangerous and the power source they are drawing from is satanic.

If you are practicing some of these other things, you will never harness or operate in the true power available to you as a Christian through Christ because it won’t be able to be released through you. When you study this concept out more, you will understand why, for now though if this is interesting to you…keep an open mind and keep reading.

The Spirit Realm

To understand the spirit realm a little better, let’s first look at the earth realm. Our physical body is what our spirit is “housed” in so we can be present in the earth realm. Our natural senses like sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste are how we communicate, relate, and operate during our lives in the earth realm. Keeping that in mind, we have “spiritual senses” that we use to connect and operate in the spirit realm, it’s just that many don’t know how they work. We also have spiritual gifts, but that is a whole other topic.

In the spirit realm, there are laws just like there are here on earth. Many use the law of gravity as an example when talking about this.

The spirit realm can and does dictate what happens in the earth (or “natural”) realm. The reality is, the human spirit has access to the spirit realm at all times, it isn’t something that happens after we die. When things in the spirit realm manifest in the earth (natural) realm, most call the occurrence “supernatural”. For example, when someone is miraculously healed of a terminal illness, when someone comes back to life after death, and (on the darker side) accounts of demonic torment, etc. One thing to note is not all spiritual manifestations appear (to others) to defy science or the laws that exists on earth.

Examples of this would be Christians (and people in other spiritual practices) who know how the laws in the spirit realm work that are able to manifest every day needs or changes in the earthly realm that no one else notices is a “miracle”, per se. Such as praying for certain things to come to pass regarding getting a specific job, having a certain outcome in a lawsuit, healing from common sicknesses that don’t need a miracle so people don’t realize it was supernatural intervention, their businesses growing supernaturally when others don’t realize that is how it is happening (and again, don’t attribute the occurrence to something supernatural). And on, and on. I am mentioning this point to illustrate to those who don’t understand these things, the way you live day to day is significantly different and the power of God is available to change many things and outcomes in your life concerning you (more than just healing you from a terminal illness, etc). So to sum this up and move forward:

  1. The spirit realm is real.
  2. In the spirit realm God, Satan, angels, demons and human spirits have being.
  3. The human spirit has access to the spirit realm at all times, even when alive on the earth before their physical body dies.
  4. You can’t access the things of the spirit with your natural senses, you do it through your spirit.
  5. There are laws that govern the spirit realm the same way there are laws that govern the earth realm.
  6. The spirit realm can and does dictate things in the earth realm. Things are manifested from the spirit realm into the earth.

Spiritual Kingdoms

So now that we have touched on the spirit realm itself, let’s go a little deeper. To better understand this, think of the earth and how we have different countries, governments, and rulers. It is the same in the spirit realm (as it is a real place), and there are two kingdoms:

  • The kingdom of light/Heaven. (God’s kingdom)
  • The kingdom of darkness. (Satan’s kingdom)

Now what people need to understand, is the laws of the spirit realm are what govern both these kingdoms (of course God is the one who imposes such laws). Perhaps another way to say it is the laws are how things operate in the spirit realm and thus apply to both kingdoms that exist in that realm.

Spiritual Laws

There is much to cover on this topic, but just to touch on the major one: The Law of Faith.

Faith is the “currency” in the spirit realm. It is what causes things to happen, change, manifest, etc. We can’t see faith in the natural realm, we know how to use it with our spirit. Something very interesting to note: Christians use the Word of God in the spirit to cause change in the natural realm. A witch uses a spell to effect the natural realm. Both are forms of using words. However, it isn’t just speaking these words that make the supernatural happen, it is the FAITH BEHIND THEM. Equally imperative and as already noted, God’s power (Word) supersedes any other.

This is to illustrate that you can access the spirit and operate in the spirit under the same laws, the difference is which kingdom you are operating in and who your “power source” is . Another thing to consider…of which kingdom are you a citizen???

There is much more to this topic, as I mentioned. Learning what spiritual laws are, how to operate properly within them, and what kingdom you are a citizen of (which, most importantly, also defines who your God is) are the elements that you have to dive deeper into to understand how to live your life here on earth, and manifest the power of God and spiritual things into the earth.

Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:10

This is an example of Jesus understanding the spiritual laws and obviously attesting to the fact that God’s kingdom exists in the spirit realm – and he was calling for it to be manifested into the natural (earth) realm. Now again, it is much more than just saying words. You have to understand how to release those words using the “currency” of faith, and you have to understand how you operate in the spiritual authority to do that. Only Christian’s have the authority to use God’s power in his Word and through the name of Jesus.

A Christian’s Power

Do you believe a Christian has the power to supernaturally effect the world around them? They do. And it doesn’t look anything like praying and begging God to do something. God backs up his Word and he gave those who believe in him dominion over the earth. Faith is something we have to “practice”, you get stronger in your faith the more you use it (your spirit man gets stronger) just like your physical muscles do when you work out. If you have not experienced this kind of life as a Christian, or you don’t understand how it works, it is time to study the Word! Christians have the Word of God (far more powerful than any voodoo doll, book of spells, herbs, or crystals). It’s Author: The Ancient of Days. Stop looking at the Bible as a story or just a guideline for how to live a moral life. Open your eyes and live on a whole other level…in the vibrant, powerful Kingdom of Heaven that you have been given the keys to manifest in the earth! It is time to learn how to use that power to live the life you were called to live and impact your family and friends with the supernatural for the Kingdom of Heaven.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:19

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Job 22:28

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (This was Jesus saying this…WE are to freely give. That means he has given us the power to do these things. He wouldn’t tell us to do something we did not have the power to do. The kingdom of heaven is at hand? Clearly he was talking about what is inside of US since Jesus wasn’t going with them.)

Matthew 10:7-8
